Sadaqah |

A sadaqah sacrifice is a sacrifice performed for the sake of Allah (swt) either on one's own behalf or someone else's. With the Cambodian Islamic Cooperative Sacrifice Service you can perform the sacrifice and help the poor and needy also. The meat from the animal will be distributed to those who need it most
Why Perform a Sadaqah Sacrifice?
- There are many reasons:The sacrifice of one or two animals (depending on sex) forms a baby's or child's aqiqah (see the Aqiqah Service for more details or our Aqiqah Pack).
- Many people like to give thanks to Allah (swt) by performing a sacrifice on a certain occasion or after an event.
- A sacrifice is an expiation for certain acts within Islamic Law.
“For those who give in charity, men and women, and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and they shall have (besides) a liberal reward.”
(Qur’an 57:18)
A sacrifice is an excellent form of charity at any time, as it provides food to the poor and needy and income for a farmer.
The sadaqah sacrifice involves the sacrifice of a goat, and is usually performed within a week (it may take longer for you to receive feedback) with all meat given to the poor and needy. In addition, remaining parts of the animal such as the skin are also used so none is wasted. |
